"IllegalArgumentException: wrong number of arguments" when there are custom 'get' methods defined for a data extensions

Troubleshooting


Problem

When there is a custom 'get' method defined inside a data extension and it has a non-empty parameter list, an error message will be thrown: "ILLEGALARGUMENTEXCEPTION: WRONG NUMBER OF ARGUMENTS"

Symptom

The following error message will be logged:
IllegalArgumentException: wrong number of arguments in method getAttributeValue(Object) of class com.dwl.base.xml.AttributeGetter
