The IBM WebSphere DataPower appliance logs show "illegal character 'M' at line 1 of " errors when running binary transform. The log below shows an example of the error message: 20090206T062129Z [xslt][error] xmlmgr(default): tid(120947): xsltlocal:///test.dpa: illegal character 'M' at line 1 of local:///test.dpa
