Symptom
On the Integrated Management Module (IMM), the Domain Name System (DNS) setting cannot be set to "Enabled" for an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) DNS server address only. This issue occurs when there is not at least one Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) DNS server address also specified.

The following system firmware level(s) are affected:
- IMM firmware yuoo84c.
Solution
This behavior has been corrected in IMM firmware v1.28 (YUOOB7C).
The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:
Workaround
When the user wishes to enable DNS using an IPv6 addressed DNS server, an IPv4 address must also be specified. The IPv4 address does not have to be for the desired IPv6 DNS server. Any valid IPv4 address will allow for the DNS setting to be set to "Enabled".
Additional information
The Symptom occurs due to an error in handling the DNS enabled setting.
The Workaround of specifying both the DNS IPv6 address and an IPv4 address allows the "Enabled" setting to take effect.
The Fix will correct the DNS setting handling error.
