Problem
This technote describes an issue with the ICP upgrade 3.1.2 to 3.2.0. The upgrade appears to complete however, it also appears to skip a number of steps. At the end of the upgrade when you try to log in with the default admin credentials results in an error.
After rollback of k8s You may attempt to execute the upgrade-prepare before re-attempting the k8s-upgrade action. You will be blocked for that execution since the k8s rollback does not remove images from the registry so it considered that you have insufficient space in registry.
You have then to enter the inception pod and overwrite the registry size variable from a calculated value to a fixed value that is small enough to pass the check rule then re-execute the upgrade-prepare from inside the modified container.
After supplying valid credentials the follow response was received:
