Single quotation marks ('): Use single quotation marks only when using text search to search using the contains-text or contains-text-basic functions. Never use single quotation marks on other searches.
Double quotation marks ("): Use double quotation marks around varchar, char, time, date, and timestamp values. In general, use double quotation marks around any value that is specified as a string or character array in the DB2 tables.
No quotation marks: Omit quotation marks when specifying numerical data--in general, any attribute value that is not of type varchar, char, date, or timestamp. Omit quotation marks when specifying any value that is a numeric value in the DB2 tables.
