IBM Virtual System Pattern for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 on AIX and Linux (x86)

Abstract

This white paper introduces the process for building and using IBM Virtual System Patterns (VSPs) for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 using IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator. The VSPs are designed for an IBM Power Systems platform with AIX and general x86/64 servers that use VMware vSphere ESXi as hypervisors. The VSP approach helps in automating the entire topology, and thereby dramatically reduces the overall time taken to deploy an Oracle E-Business Suite environment.The Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 database tier and applications tier script packages attached below include the automation scripts for cloning the Oracle E-Business Suite database tier and metadata files, or the Oracle E-Business Suite applications tier and metadata files, used for calling the scripts from IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator. These are provided as-is for customer and business partner use.
