IBM ThinkPad blue-screen crash running XDE for .NET
Resolving The Problem
SYMPTOM:
Running VS.NET may cause a Windows OS crash with a BSOD error screen.
CAUSE:
The IBM ThinkPad T23 (Type 2647-Model 4PU and others) with the default S3 video display driver is incompatible with VS.NET 2002 (with or without Rational XDE installed).
RESOLUTION:
Download and install the latest S3 driver from IBM.COM (versions 6.13.10.1277 and later) before running VS.NET.
