IBM Technology Zone Reporting a Defect vs Requesting an Enhancement

This document describes the differences between Defects and Enhancements for IBM TechZone. It will then walk through the processes of reporting and request each.
Defects:
Definition:
  • An instance where a feature of IBM TechZone is malfunctioning or has gone missing
  • Examples:
    • A dropdown is not showing the correct options
    • A gitops pattern is building and environment incorrectly
    • A feature that is meant to be there is suddenly missing
How to Report:
  • Please open a Support Case for the defect
  • The ITZ Support Team will be able to help open a JIRA ticket for the defect
Enhancements:
Definition:
  • A feature that has never or no longer exists that would be beneficial to the business if included
  • Examples:
    • A new gitops pattern
    • Updates to versions of platforms and/or applications
    • Including a new field in a form
