Abstract

IBM Storage Devices are not exposed to the Ripple20 vulnerabilities which impact certain embedded TCP/IP implementations.

Content

Several customers have requested clarification on the possible exposure of IBM storage products to a series of vulnerabilities, collectively known as Ripple20, which impact certain embedded TCP/IP stacks. This notification is provided to address these concerns.
The following IBM products have no known exposures to Ripple20:
  • IBM Systems DS8000 family
  • IBM TS7700 virtual tape family
  • IBM TS2900, TS4300,  TS3500 and TS4500 Tape libraries.
  • IBM Spectrum Virtualize family (including SAN Volume Controller, Storwize and Flashsystem products)
  • IBM Flashsystem 840 and Flashsystem 900
