Abstract
Join the Advanced Technology Group for a detailed update on the new IBM Storage Ceph 9.9.1 features that were released in June 2026. This session begins at an intermediate level about IBM Storage Ceph, then quickly proceeds into the 2026 mid-year update. Specific details will be presented about new object storage capabilities (RGW) for AI and data lake house, block storage (RBD, NVMe/TCP) for containers and virtualization, and file systems (CephFS, NFS, SMB) for legacy workloads. In addition, the new generation of Ceph storage hardware will be presented.
It is recommended that the participant have a basic understanding of IBM Storage Ceph or, in the alternate, a viewing of the Accelerate with ATG webcasts during 2025 which covered a variety of topics. (https://ibm.biz/BdSUFN)
