Problem
A 3rd party product is using Microsoft Information Rights Management system (IRM) to protect files. Custom properties of Confidential and Internal Use are assigned to prevent unauthorised read/write of this Excel file. When this file is used as a data source, IBM SPSS Modeler cannot open it and produces an error message.
Symptom
When using the Excel file with the custom properties the following error is thrown:
"Format is not recognizable"
