Limitations and considerations

  • These IBM System Storage storage systems can be monitored by Spectrum Control, but no fixes will be provided in the future.
  • 1 The TIMECOUNTERSUPPORTED variable for the SMI-S Provider for E-Series is set to FALSE by default. If that variable is set to TRUE to collect response time metrics, performance monitors in Spectrum Control might experience data continuity (HWNPM2124) errors and discard some data records. If you would like to use TIMECOUNTERSUPPORTED set to TRUE, you should use the latest supported SMI-S Provider for E-Series version.
  • Check the documentation from the provider to determine the supported firmware levels. You must use the supported firmware levels. Using non-supported firmware levels might impact hardware availability.
  • The Interop namespace for these IBM System Storage storage systems is /interop.
