IBM Software Support Troubleshooting, Question & Answer, and How To documents are changing to require entitlement. This means that you will be required to logon with an IBMid that has proper entitlement before viewing the entire document.

IBM Software Support creates content as they work with customers. This content has proven to be very useful to IBM customers and often reduces the time it takes to resolve a problem. Up until now, this content has been publicly available for anyone to access from the IBM Customer Support Console and external search engines.
IBM Software Support is turning on entitlement checks for this content to ensure that only entitled customers can utilize the benefits of these assets. The entitlement check will be similar to the login and entitlement check required to open a support case. This change is in line with other IT industries and will ensure that only paying customers have access to IBM resources.

- What is changing?
You will be redirected to log in with a valid IBMid and password when accessing Troubleshooting, Question & Answer, and How To documents. If you have access to open a case for a given product, you will be able to view the content for the product. - What will NOT be changing?
Product Documentation and other support document types like News items will continue to be public, and will not require login. - Where can you report if you have trouble viewing a document?
If your IBMid is associated with an IBM customer number that is entitled to open a case for a product, you will be able to access the documents that are associated with the product. However, if you are unable to view a document that you believe you should be entitled to view, you can open a support case for further assistance.
