IBM Security Directory Suite provides a trusted identity data infrastructure for authentication. It includes Directory Server, Federated Directory Server, and System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM). IBM Security Directory Suite comes in a virtual appliance format.

IBM Security Directory Suite is available in three editions.

• Limited Edition: This edition does not include premium features. It includes Directory Server with RDBM instance capability.
• Standard Edition: This edition includes everything provided in the Limited Edition as well as some premium features, such as IBM Security Directory Suite proxy server, pass-through authentication, ability to record last successful authentication time stamp in user entries, and advanced password policy rules. With this edition, you are entitled to download IBM Connections.
• Enterprise Edition: This edition includes everything provided in the Standard Edition as well as all premium features, including Federated Directory Server and SCIM service. With this edition you are entitled to download IBM Security Directory Integrator V7.2.

1. Use the tables in this document to find the eAssembly or part numbers of the downloadable images that you need.
2. On the Passport Advantage website, use the numbers to search for the downloadable images. You can search for either the eAssembly number or individual part number.
3. Download all of the parts that you need, both required and optional. The parts are described in the table this document. For more information about the various components, see Installation package information.
4. Unpack each of the parts into a temporary directory on your computer.
5. Follow the instructions in the Virtual appliance installation section of the IBM Knowledge Center to install the product.
