Lifecycle policy
Anything as a Service (XaaS): Although not a lifecycle policy, Anything as a Service (XaaS) support is included in the Cloud Service and provides defect and non-defect product technical support. Technical support for XaaS ends when the XaaS Cloud Service ends, either because customer’s contract has ended, or the service has been withdrawn in accordance with the IBM Cloud Services Agreement or other agreement governing customer’s XaaS service. Extended and Sustained Support are not available for XaaS offerings.

It was recently announced that Palo Alto Networks completed the acquisition of IBM's QRadar Software as a Service (SaaS) assets. QRadar product support, for both SaaS and on-prem customers, will continue to be provided by IBM.  For all Support-related issues, QRadar SaaS customers with a corresponding entitlement should continue to open IBM QRadar support cases as usual.

Lifecycle date definitions

General Availability (GA)
The latest date that a version/release of the product is available to all users, regardless of language or media. A product version/release is not published on the Lifecycle web site until the GA date.
End of Support (EOS)
The last date on which IBM will deliver standard support services for a given version/release of a product.
End of Marketing (EOM)
The effective date on which a part number ceases to be included as active and can no longer be ordered in standard price lists.
