Rational Insight 1.0.1 contains support for IBM Rational Focal Point.

Rational Insight can now be installed on 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 5, 64-bit Microsoft Windows 2008, 64-bit Microsoft Windows 2003, and Microsoft Windows 7, and and can now be used with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, IBM DB2 9.7, Oracle 11G R2, and IBM WebSphere Application Server 7.0.

Rational Insight 1.0.1 includes Configuration Manager, a configuration utility with which you can migrate your existing artifacts over to the new version, and set up the connections between the various components that contribute data for the Rational Insight integrated reports.

Prerequisites

You cannot directly upgrade from a previous version of Rational Insight to Rational Insight 1.0.1. Instead, you must first install Rational Insight 1.0.1 and then migrate your data. If you are using versions 1.0. or 1.0.0.1, you must migrate your data to version 1.0.0.2 before you can migrate data to version 1.0.1.

You can install version 1.0.1 with or without a coexisting installation of a previous version (1.0.0.1 or 1.0.0.2) of Rational Insight.

For an installation of only Rational Insight 1.0.1, these are the prerequisites:

  1. Back up your data.
  2. Uninstall your existing Rational Insight installation.

For an installation of Rational Insight 1.0.1 that must coexist with a previous version of Rational Insight, these are the prerequisites:
  1. Back up your data.
  2. Change the WebSphere Application Server ports of your existing Rational Insight installation.

The Rational Insight Master Setup Disk contains the Rational Insight launchpad and the installers for Rational Insight and Rational License Key Administrator. You will need to still need to download the specific disks depending on what you want to install. At the very minimum, you need the Rational Insight Disks 1 through 4 for installing Rational Insight. Additionally, Rational Insight customers also have access to download the Rational License Server, Rational License Key Administrator, InfoSphere Data Architect, and DB2.
