Installing and upgrading product
Version of Rational ClearQuest supports WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server Versions 7.x and 8.x.

Note that Rational Project Console, Rational Robot, Rational SoDA and Rational TestManager are not compatible with Rational ClearQuest Version 8.x. You cannot install Rational ClearQuest Version 8.x on a computer that already has Rational Project Console, Rational Robot, Rational SoDA, or Rational TestManager installed on it.

You can install ClearQuest by using the 32-bit version of Installation Manager 1.6.2, or the 64-bit version. Installation Manager 64-bit is only required if other Rational products on the same system are installed and managed by using Installation Manager 64-bit, or if you plan to install another Rational product that requires Installation Manager 64-bit. Before installing with Installation Manager 64-bit, review technote 1628641 Considerations when installing IBM Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, and RequisitePro on Windows with Installation Manager 64-bit.

Important: You can only use Installation Manager 64-bit to install ClearQuest Versions and later. Installation Manager 64-bit does not support installing earlier versions of ClearQuest.
