For USB Key-based Preboot:

1. Download the USB key package (.zip file)
   
2. Extract and run bmcreator (on linux) or bmcreator.exe (on Windows)
   
   Note: Only 32bit versions of Windows and Linux are supported at this time.
   
   
3. After it loads, type "update <device>" where device is the drive letter in Windows (e.g. e:) or the device name in linux (e.g. /dev/sdb). Make sure you specify the correct device as it will be formatted!
   
4. After this completes, type "exit".
   
5. If the server is running, turn off the server and all attached devices.
   
6. Turn on all attached devices; then, turn on the server.
   
7. Boot the machine using the DSA Preboot media that you just created.
   
   Note: Because the USB key is the boot media, removing the USB key without exiting DSA is not supported
   
   
8. From the DSA main screen, select the "gui" or "cmd" options to enter the
   graphical user interface and the DSA interactive menu respectively.
   
9. Follow the on screen directions to select the devices and tests to launch.
