Abstract
This document contains a diagram of the system board of the Netfinity 5600 server.
Content
System board component locations
The following illustration shows a layout of the system board and identifies system board components. You might need to refer to this figure before you install hardware in the server. You might also need to refer to this figure when you set configuration jumpers on the system board.

- Dual serial and PCI hot-plug control switch connector (J1)
- Microprocessor board connector (J4, J8)
- Operator information panel connector (J29)
- Reserved (J32)
- Reserved (J10)
- Diskette drive connector (J23)
- Diagnostic LED panel connector (J6)
- Reserved (J17)
- Internal LVD (low voltage differential) SCSI connector (J25) (with extender cable on bracket)
- PCI slots 1 and 2 (on primary PCI bus A)
- IDE connector (J27)
- Power control and reset panel cable connector (J18)
- Advanced System Management Interconnect connector (J35)

- PCI (hot-plug) slots 3–5 (on primary PCI bus B)

System board jumpers
The following table describes the jumpers on the system board. The numbers in the table correspond to the highlighted numbers on the illustration in System board component locations.
NOTE: Turn off the server and disconnect the power cords before moving any jumpers.
The following illustration shows pin positions for the system board jumper J20. Pin 1 is the pin at the upper-left corner of J20 in the illustration of the system board in System board component locations.
| Jumper pin positions | Description |
|---|---|
| Pins 1–3 (N/A) | The default is no jumper on pins 1 , 2, and 3. |
| Pins 4–6 (N/A) | The default is a jumper on pins 5 and 6. |
| Pins 7–9 | The default is a jumper on pins 8 and 9 ASM enabled (pins 7-8 ASM disabled). |
| Pins 10–12 (N/A) | The default is a jumper on pins 10 and 11 |
