Q. What kind of algorithms are used in the IBM MRO Inventory Optimization Product?
A. There are 14 forecasting algorithms used by the solution along with the Best algorithm, which is proprietary expert logic built into the solution.
The forecast algorithms can be accessed from the configuration icon on the Demand card. If you go to any item, go to Demand card and click on settings icon and refer to the Forecast method, you find a dropdown listing all these algorithms.

The recommendation is to use the BEST forecast algorithm built in the solution but users can select any one of the other 13 available algorithms based on the business requirements.
