IBM Maximo MRO Inventory Optimization- Using 'Filter from File' on Storage Column

Question & Answer

Question

IBM Maximo MRO Inventory Optimization- Using 'Filter from File' on Storage Column

Answer

When data containing Storage Location column is downloaded from  IBM Maximo MRO Inventory Optimization, it appears to be stripping leading zeros (eg storage location 0103 comes out as only 103).  This means that file does not contain matching values for the field when you try to re-use it in the ‘filter from file’ feature.

To have the leading zeros manually re-added in order for it to match when using 'Filter from File' feature in IBM Maximo MRO Inventory Optimization, find-and-replace can be used in excel on the Storage column to add back zero as seen in the image below.

Once storage location numbers are updated, the file is uploaded without any issues.
