• Assist rebranding to Collaborate
  To address the naming conflicts with other IBM products such as Watson Assistant and MAS Assistant, Maximo Assist has been rebranded as Maximo Collaborate. This new name more accurately reflects the product’s purpose, i.e. enabling peer-to-peer AR video collaboration. Starting with MAS 9.1, the product will appear as Collaborate in the MAS UI. However, in the MAS CLI, within the OpenShift cluster and in MAS Core application (user permissions) it will still be referred to as Assist.
   
• CouchDB to MongoDB migration
  Due to incompatibility between CouchDB and the latest version of OpenShift and to ensure long-term compliance with security updates and functional requirements, CouchDB is replaced with MongoDB.
   
• Authorization Service change
  Introduced new authorization changes, centralizing user and permission management within the MAS Manage application. With this update, Collaborate no longer manages users and roles locally, i.e. all user management is now handled at the MAS Core level.
   
• Carbon 11 / Graphite 3x upgrade
  To get new enhancements including new Walk Me (Show me how) integration and force logout feature from MAS Core application, Collaborate has been upgraded to Carbon 11 and Graphite 3x version.
   
• Unified Common Navigation
  To improve consistency and user experience, navigation bars have been unified into a single, streamlined navigation menu. With the introduction of the Authorization Service in MAS 9.1, users will have a common navigation menu from the MAS Manage application, enabling seamless navigation across all main MAS applications and sub-apps.
   
• Java 17 upgrade
  Upgraded Java version from Java 11 to Java 17 in the Collaborate application to ensure compatibility with the MAS Core application.
