IBM Installation Manager’s Windows certificate expiry impacting IBM Explorer for z/OS Aqua

The IBM Installation Manager on Windows platform has been signed with new code signing certificates. This requires that Installation Manager be updated on Windows machines. On Windows 10, you may see messages that block the installation and execution of the IBM Installation Manager. Note that other platforms are not impacted.


Due to a change in the digital certificate used to sign Windows executable files in the IBM Installation Manager, users may experience problems installing and running the Installation Manager on Microsoft Windows machines. You will need to upgrade your Windows IBM Installation Manager to version or later.

For existing users of IBM Explorer for z/OS Aqua who have installed one or more products using IBM Installation Manager, you may be prompted with the option to update to the latest version when you launch Installation Manager, accept by clicking Yes.

Alternatively, or if you are a first time user, you can download the Installation Manager installer under Eclipse Tools page from the IBM Explorer for z/OS Aqua download site and proceed to install (or reinstall) your Installation Manager program following the instructions under "Starting from scratch".
