Hardware and software requirements for IBM Information Server Data Quality Module for SAP

Recommended hardware requirements

To install IBM Information Server Data Quality Module for SAP 2.5, you must have two servers that meet the following hardware recommendations:

Principal Server

  • 4 processor system with 16 GB of RAM
  • IBM Information Server Data Quality Module for SAP requires 400 MB of disk space for a base installation
  • IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition requires 450 MB of disk space for a base installation
  • 36 GB plus 8 KB per SAP record of additional disk space is required to create the reference database
  • Additional space for the postal reference files, depending on the country and region postal coverage, might also be required

IBM OmniFind Server
  • 4 processor system with 16 GB of RAM with a RAID Array attached
  • IBM OmniFind™ Enterprise Edition requires 600 MB of disk space
  • An additional 100 KB per SAP record of additional disk space is required


Prerequisite SAP software

To install IBM Information Server Data Quality Module for SAP 2.5, you must have one of the following SAP releases installed on a separate computer:


  • SAP Enterprise Resource Planning 2004 (SAP ERP 2004)
  • SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 (SAP ECC 5.0)
  • SAP Enterprise Resource Planning 2005 (SAP ERP 2004)
  • SAP ERP Central Component 6.0 (SAP ECC 6.0)
  • SAP Customer Relationship Management 4.0 (SAP CRM 4.0)
  • SAP Customer Relationship Management 5.0 (SAP CRM 5.0)
  • SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x110 (SAP R/3 4.7). This must be a Unicode-enabled installation.
  • SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x200 (SAP R/3 4.7). This must be a Unicode-enabled installation.

The SAP Basis must be at the following minimum SAP Basis levels: 


  • SAP Basis release 620:  SAPKB62060
  • SAP Basis release 640:  SAPKB64018
  • SAP Basis release 700:  SAPKB70012
