Resolving The Problem
The IBM i Access Client Solutions, Windows .NET provider only supports the ISO date/time formats, and stored procedures called by the provider must be compiled to use *ISO.
For example, consider a stored procedure written to return date data in *DMY format. If that stored procedure is called using the IBM i Access Client Solutions, Windows .NET managed provider, the application fails to read the result data. The error reported is an unhandled System.FormatException error occurring in mscorlib.dll.
The IBM i Access Client Solutions, Windows .NET data provider does not support any date formats other than ISO at the current releases. Stored procedures must be compiled to use *ISO date format, or the Access Client Solutions, Windows ODBC driver can be used with Microsoft's ODBC .NET provider. If the latter solution is used, the ODBC data source (DSN) must be set to the correct date format to match the stored procedure.
