Troubleshooting
Problem
Customers see on rare times, an incorrect back-level IBM HTTP Server code level in the WINDOWS registry path: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IBMHTTPServerV9.0.
All other IBM HTTP Server command such as versonInfo.bat show a valid fix pack level.

This can cause clients some concern - additionally an incorrect WINDOWS registry path can cause issues with third party applications such CVE and Vulnerability scanners that misreport the installed level for it's reporting purposes.
A casual check of the installation logs do not register a failed upgrade. The IBM HTTP Server continues to function without error.
Symptom
Clients will see a mismatch between the installed version and the Windows Registry version values.

To access the registry ; Press Windows Key + R ... this key combination opens the Run dialog box. Type “regedit”: In the Run dialog box, type “regedit” (without quotes) into the text field.
Whilst there are Windows commands such as sc description that can attempt to update the "Description" field. These will not work as the previous [ and incorrect ] registered values are reapplied at the restart of the IBM HTTP Server ; the IBM HTTP Server runtime actually updates the description when started via a service.
