IBM HTTP Server support for mod_disk_cache

Question & Answer

Question

Apache HTTP Server includes a module called mod_disk_cache for disk based content cache management . Does IBM HTTP Server support this module?

Answer

The mod_disk_cache module is included and supported beginning with IBM HTTP Server 7.0.0.3. The mod_disk_cache module is neither shipped nor supported with previous versions of IBM HTTP Server.

mod_disk_cache is recommended over the deprecated mod_mem_cache, however it does require administrators to maintain the persistent cache (htcacheclean).

Latest IBM HTTP Server fixes are available at:

For a complete list of supported Apache HTTP Server modules that ship with IBM HTTP Server, refer to the following Knowledge Center documentation:

IBM HTTP Server 9.0

IBM HTTP Server 8.5

IBM HTTP Server 8.0

IBM HTTP Server 7.0
