Troubleshooting
Problem
The following statement can be found in the CE trace logs with Application Program Interface (API) and Database (DB) trace options enabled : SELECT epoch_id, lock_sid, object_id, object_class_id, security_id, parent_container_id, replication_group_id, creator, create_date, modify_user, modify_date, lock_token, lock_timeout, lock_owner, security_policy_id, name, indexation_id FROM Container WHERE (object_id = :1 and home_id is null) for update; The 'select for update' statement is executed each time the ACL of a folder is changed.
Symptom
Because of database locking behavior, concurrent changes to the ACL of a folder are not possible. Each process must wait for the row lock to be resolved. This impacts performance in scenarios with many ACL changes.
