Abstract
When attempting to open a remote Code Coverage result, the error java.nio.charset.MalformedInputException occurs.

Cause
The Code Coverage result contains a file that the Remote System Explorer does not know what mode to use when transferring the file from remote to local.
Resolving the problem
Add the file type and file transfer mode to the Remote System Explorer preferences in the IBM Developer for z/OS client.
- Select Window -> Preferences -> Remote Systems -> Files
- Click Add -> Enter in a new File Type -> Specify the File Transfer Mode
- Click Apply -> Ok
