Db2 Web Query for i is a business intelligence and analytics platform for companies that use IBM i systems that helps turn data into insight and insight into business outcomes.

IBM's Db2 Web Query for i family of products provide end-to-end analytics solutions integrated with IBM i. The product suite includes query/400 modernization facilities, easy to learn report and dashboard building tools, powerful data visualizations, and an integrated ETL (Extract, Transformation, and Load) product to automate data cleansing and consolidation. 

Hints and Tips on Getting A FAST Start:

  • Download a 70 day trial copy of the latest Db2 Web Query Software
    • Request the EZ-Install package by sending an email to QU2@us.ibm.com
      • Include name, company name, system serial number, and your OS level (ex: 7.4)
      • Once installed, take the TEST DRIVE and follow on INFOASSIST Tutorials
  • Modernize Query/400 Reports
    • Learn about the Query/400 Discovery Tool (hot link) included with EZ-Install
    • Learn how to import and modernize Query/400 definitions
  • Learn how to Leverage SQL to define your data set to be consumed by Web Query reports/dashboards
  • Migrate from other tools
    • IBM Lab Services has been active in helping clients move from other tools (to preserve the queries they developed in those other tools). In some cases, conversion tools can be leverage to simplify the task of migrating all queries from older tools into web query for a fast start.
  • Get FAST START assistance/training from a Db2 Web Query Expert
    • Learn about IBM Lab Service's FAST START Services (hot link)
    • Have a "services voucher?" Find out if you have credits for IBM Lab Services Consulting
