IBM Data Server Manager for Db2 for z/OS end of support

Abstract

Today, IBM is announcing withdrawal of support for IBM Data Server Manager for Db2 for z/OS effective March 31, 2024.  Note that support for IBM Data Server Manager for Db2 Linux, UNIX, and Windows was withdrawn effective April 30, 2021.

Key Data Server Manager for Db2 for z/OS capabilities, including integrated support for the administration of IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator, are now available at no charge, including technical support, in IBM Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS. For more information about IBM Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS, see its product documentation page. For more information about Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS Administration Services, which is a component of Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS, see its product documentation page.  

The Data Server Manager capabilities included in the following products will be supported based on their individual product lifecycle plans, which are available from the IBM Software Lifecycle website:


•       IBM Db2 Query Workload Tuner for z/OS 5.2
•       IBM Db2 Performance Solution Pack 1.6
•       IBM Management Solution Pack 2.3
