Troubleshooting
Problem
You cannot add a document or folder to a repository by dragging either item from an external location.
Symptom
Dragging a document is not supported by some browsers
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9, you cannot add a document or documents by dragging them from an external location, such as your computer desktop, to a repository.
If you want to add documents by dragging them from an external location to the repository, you can use one of the following web browsers:
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
- Internet Explorer 10 or later
- Google Chrome
Important: Ensure that you are using a supported web browser for the version of IBM Content Navigator that you are using. For the latest support information, see the Hardware and software requirements for IBM Content Navigator and select the tab for the version that you are using.
Dragging a folder is not supported
The Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome browsers do not support adding a folder by dragging it from an external location, such as your computer desktop, to a repository.
To work around this issue, create a new folder in the repository by using the New Folder action. You may then multi-select the files within the external folder and drag them to the new repository folder.
Important: Items cannot be dragged and dropped from applications other than Windows.
Adding multiple documents is not supported by some browsers
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9, you cannot add multiple documents to a repository at one time.
