Problem
User unable to connect to IBM Cognos Controller on Cloud.
- This issue affects specific users and not others.
- This issue affects ONLY IBM Cognos Controller. It doesn't affect other IBM products or sites like Planning Analytics on Cloud, Support Portal, myibm.ibm.com
Symptom
After entering their IBM Id, the below error displays on screen:
Message: AADSTS90072: User account 'user_ibmd' from identity provider 'live.com' does not
exist in tenant 'TENANT_NAME' and cannot access the application
'https://ibmlogin.ice.ibmcloud.com/saml/sps/saml20sp/saml20'(XXX-IBM Controller Prod) in that tenant. The
account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure
Active Directory user account
