IBM Cognos Analysis for Microsoft Excel - Data import limitations

Troubleshooting


Problem

When attempting to load large amounts of data into CAFE, the load fails. This is true for manually loading by pasting data into a sheet, or using the Bulk Load functionality. The volume of data that triggers this can vary but generally beyond 500,000 cells.

Symptom

Error message generated:

Not enough storage is available to complete the operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000E (E_OUTOFMEMORY)
