Problem
IBM Case Foundation email notification not working - "SMTP: trying to connect to host" messages in SystemOut / stdout logs
Symptom
After configuring Email Notification for IBM Case Foundation using ACCE ( Administrative Console for Content Engine) by specifying a SMTP host, port, logon credentials and having installed a Language Pack and enabled workflow notification and specified an email address for a certain user in FileNet WorkplaceXT User Preferences-> Tasks, email notification is not working.
SystemOut / stdout logs for the JVM where the Content Platform Engine is deployed contain the following message after which there are no SMTP or JavaMail related messages :
DEBUG SMTP: trying to connect to host "smtphost", port 25, isSSL false
