General description
This is an interim fix for the Monitoring agent for HTTP Server provided with IBM Application Performance Management family of products, Version 8.1.4.0.
It includes fixes for the HTTP Server Agent and upgrades the agent to 08.18.12.00.

Platforms and prerequisites
The Monitoring Agent for HTTP Server is supported on the platforms documented here.

The interim fix for the HTTP Server Agent is intended to be applied to the Monitoring Agent for HTTP Server version 01.00.07.00, 01.00.08.00, 01.00.08.01, 01.00.09.00, 01.00.10.00, 01.00.10.03 which is provided with:

IBM Cloud Application Performance Monitoring Base Private, Version 8.1.4.0
IBM Cloud Application Performance Monitoring Advanced Private, Version 8.1.4.0.

IBM Cloud Application Performance Monitoring Base, Version 8.1.4.0
IBM Cloud Application Performance Monitoring Advanced, Version 8.1.4.0.

Note: For Windows platform, the upgrade needs to be applied to the Monitoring Agent for HTTP Server with version 01.00.08.00, 01.00.08.01, 01.00.09.00, 01.00.10.00, 01.00.10.03.

Prior to installation

The HTTP Server Agent with one of the following versions must be installed and running before applying the agent interim fix.
01.00.07.00
01.00.08.00
01.00.08.01
01.00.09.00
01.00.10.00
01.00.10.03

Note: For Windows platform, the HTTP Server Agent with version 01.00.08.00 or 01.00.08.01 or 01.00.09.00 or 01.00.10.00 or 01.00.10.03 must be installed before apply the interim fix.

Performing the necessary tasks after installation of the interim fix

A successful installation modifies the HTTP Server Agent version to 08.18.12.00.

On Linux or AIX:
- Ensure that the <APM-AGENT-HOME>/bin/cinfo -t output for the Monitoring Agent for HTTP Server is '08.18.12.00'.
- The agent interim fix installation logs are written to the <APM-AGENT-HOME>/logs/ directory.

On Windows:
- Ensure that version number 08.18.12.00 is displayed for the Monitoring Agent for HTTP Server on the Performance Management window.
- The agent interim fix installation logs are written to the <APM-AGENT-HOME>\INSTALLITM\ directory.

Uninstalling if necessary

This maintenance package cannot be rolled back. If necessary you can uninstall and reinstall the monitoring agent and patches.
