IBM Support

i2 iBridge not returning expected data to i2 Analyst's Notebook chart

Troubleshooting

Problem

There is a compatibility issue between IBM i2 iBridge v8.9.1 and IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook versions from v9.0.7 to v9.1.1 such that when installed alongside one of these versions i2 iBridge is not returning all expected data for some functions.

Symptom

When iBridge is installed alongside one of the incompatible versions the complete set of links between a pair of entities is not returned to the i2 Analyst’s Notebook chart when utilizing the following functions:

  • Find Connecting Links
  • Expands that include connecting link functionality
  • Queries of any sort
  • Adding items to the chart from i2 iBridge sets

This means that the data returned from any of these functions might not include all the link data that exists. Resulting visual representations might not represent the true nature of the source data. End users will not be aware that chart visualization might be incomplete.

Versions of Analyst’s Notebook affected are: 9.0.7, 9.1.0, 9.1.1

Versions of Analyst’s Notebook Premium affected are: 9.0.7, 9.0.8, 9.1.0, 9.1.1

Users of i2 Bridge should use i2 Analyst’s Notebook 9.0.6 or earlier, or Analyst’s notebook 9.2.0 or later. iBridge users are recommended to move to the latest supported version of Analyst’s Notebook.
