Troubleshooting
Problem
Receiving HTTP 403 forbidden error accessing TM1 Web from an URL in Cognos Connection or from an external site. No problem when using the same TM1 Web url from a local bookmark or shortcut or when typing it directly in the address bar of the internet browser.
Cause
There is an additional "referer" parameter that is added in the HTTP header that is refused by TM1Web
Resolving The Problem
- Open TM1Web configuration file :
C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\webapps\tm1web\WEB-INF\configuration\tm1web_config.xml
- Modify parameter CrossDomainAccessList :
set it to "*" or set it to a list of domains you want to be valid.
- Restart service IBM Cognos TM1 Application Server
