HTTP 400 error by HTTP server adapter when client tries to connect

Troubleshooting

Problem

Connections by an external trading partner to an HTTP server adapter configured with HTTPS had been working fine on an older version of SB2BI. After an upgrade to SB2BI version 6000000, those connections failed with an HTTP 400 error.

Symptom

  • Connections by an external trading partner to an HTTP server adapter fail with an HTTP 400 error.
  • Connections fail via plain HTTP or HTTPS
  • A TCP capture of a connection shows both "HTTP 400" and "Header Folding" in a message from the SB2BI side.
