HOWTO: Switch joins to process as case sensitive

Troubleshooting

Problem

It seems that Cognos cannot handle case sensitive data. Especially when the technical keys in a join are case sensitive. For example person X with personid '1234h' is unique to person Y with personid '1234H'. When creating a list report to show all facts of person X and perform a filter on person X (dimension table), the result also includes the facts for person Y.
