Steps:
1. Stop the Cognos Analytics service
2. Perform a Content Store deployment backup and a physical backup of the Content Store or Notification database
3. Select the NC_DROP script for your content store database type from directories in <cognos analytics>/configuration/schemas/delivery/<dbtype>/
4. Connect to content store database using a database tool and with the same login as provided for content store in Cognos Configuration and run NC_DROP_<dbtype>.sql.
4. Restart the Cognos Analytics service.
Should dropping the NC* tables not resolve the issue, then restore the content or notification store from the last backup version.
