Summary
After the inclusion of the "Use Big Decimal" in the Details of the Map Editor, the ability to control Big Decimal from the translator.properties file stopped. So if you try and use this following parameter in either the translator.properties or customer_overrides file and it does not work. You must turn it on in the map.:
storage.useBigDecimal = false
