How to upgrade Controller 10.3.0.x to a later Interim Fix (IF) Fix Pack (patch) level

Problem

Customer has a working Controller 10.3.0.x application server. Customer would like to patch this 10.3.0 server to a later version of 10.3.0. How do they do this?

Symptom

For reference, here are the version numbers of Controller 10.3.0 which this Technote relates to:

  • 10.3.0 RTM (original) = 10.3.0.152
  • 10.3.0 RTM (silent refresh) = 10.3.0.157
  • 10.3.0 FP1 = 10.3.1.43
  • 10.3.0 FP1 IF1 = 10.3.1.44
  • 10.3.0 FP1 IF2 = 10.3.1.45
  • 10.3.0 FP1 IF3 (GA = publicly/generally available) = 10.3.1.45 (also)
