How to truncate dates via SQL push-back?

Question & Answer

Question

I've tried to derive a new field using the various CLEM date/time conversion functions with the goal of generating SQL push-back code implementing Oracle's TRUNC() function with no success. The idea is I want only the YYYY:MM:DD portion of a date value I'm selecting from an Oracle database.
