How to switch between multiple accounts in Blueworks Live?

How To

Summary

Multi-account users need to select target account and authentication provider in the log in dialog.

Environment

User can belong to multiple Blueworks Live accounts.
Accounts are configured for one or more of these authentication providers:
  • Single Sign-On (SSO, SAML 2.0)
  • IBMid
  • Blueworks Live authentication
Even though an account can offer several authentication providers, each user is tied to a single provider for the next login.
To switch between accounts, make sure to log out account1 before you log in to account2.
Blueworks Live does not support multiple instances in the browser.

Steps

  1. Log in via BWL main page https://blueworkslive.com/sLogin.html
  2. Enter your full username (email address).Blueworks Live queries all valid authentication providers for your account set.
  3. Select Authentication Provider. (This choice is presented if your accounts require different authentication methods). Blueworks Live queries applicable accounts.
  4. Enter password.
  5. Select account. (This choice is presented if there are multiple accounts, which require you to authenticate with selected provider).
If you can't find your target account in step 5, you might have picked the wrong authentication provider in step 3.
Selecting another authentication provider will automatically take you through steps 4 and 5 again.

Additional Information

Simplify your log in experience with bookmarks.

Process links contain the account, so only email and password are required on login.

Configure all your accounts for the same authentication provider

Talk with your account admin to enable IBMid. IBMid can be federated with any corporate identity provider (SSO, SAML2). All new Blueworks Live accounts use IBMid authentication by default, and all IBM internal accounts will be converted to IBMid over time.

Verify that you are in the wanted account by clicking the little "i" on the upper right of the screen
