How to stub a static function not having a definition

Troubleshooting

Problem

When stubbing a static function from the code under test and this function returns a void. There is no declaration of the function. When it sees the STUB it returns a void so you get the following error message: Microsoft (R) 32-bit C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 12.00.8168 for 80x86 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1984-1998. All rights reserved. cvisual6\TUmtsCode.c(68) : error C2371: 'add' : redefinition; different basic types Failed.
