Question
How to stop an XML map from adding !CDATA elements for special characters
Answer
On the OUTPUT side of the Map Editor right click on the ROOT tag and choose the "Properties" option.
Click on the "Output" Tab and select the option ? Use character entity References instead of CDATA ?. The default value of the mapper is to produce a CDATA tag as below
<ATVALUE</font>PAR-MAQ-SOI-M&A-]></</font>
The change in configuration will produce
<ATVALUE</font>PAR-MAQ-SOI-M&A-<ATVALUE>
