Question

How to specify multiple LDAP server URLs in property configuration files for purposes of failover?

Answer

The Sterling Multi-Channel product family (Fulfillment (MCF) Selling (MCS)) offers LDAP configuration within its property files. These products support industry-standard LDAP specifications.

In the LDAP server URL property (from yfs.properties/customer_overrides.properties)

yfs.security.ldap.url

to enter multiple LDAP server URLs when setting up an active-passive/failover mode simply separate the URLs with spaces (not commas) e.g

yfs.security.ldap.url=ldap://<ldapservername>:<portnum>
