Resolving The Problem
This document describes how to end the Administration Server instance of HTTP server to allow its objects to be saved and prevent messages that those objects were in use and could not be saved. The Administration Server is an instance of the HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) server that allows administration of certain system functions using a Web browser.
If the system is not in a restricted state or the ADMIN instance of HTTP server is not ended, the backup job may produce numerous pairs of the following messages indicating that certain objects in IFS cannot be saved:
CPFA09E - Object in use. Object is /QIBM/UserData/OS/OSGi/LWISysInst/admin/lwi/conf/admin/lwi.lck.
CPD384E - Cannot open object /QIBM/UserData/OS/OSGi/LWISysInst/admin/lwi/conf/admin/lwi.lck.
Issue the following command before the backup to allow these objects to be saved and prevent the 'Objects in use' messages:
ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
In order to start the HTTP server after the backup completes, issue the following command:
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
