How to reverse engineer code using the Java API for IBM Rational Rhapsody

How To

Summary

This technote demonstrates how to reverse engineer your code into C, C++ or Java components using the Rhapsody API.
Additionally, this technote also shows how to specify Code Centric mode or Model Driven mode using the API.

Code Centric is the default mode that keeps your original code in close synchronicity with the Rhapsody model. However, this may not be the right mode for your workflow. Please check by reviewing the information found at this link:

https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSB2MU_8.4.0/com.ibm.rhp.re.doc/topics/rhp_c_dm_code_centric_settings.html

In order to use Reverse Engineering with the Rhapsody API you must first set a number of properties for the active component. Rhapsody In Java only supports Model-Driven mode.
